Mahendra Singh Dhoni or Dhoni as we know him, has been in news not only for his cricket and breathtaking innings but also for his hairstyles. Captain Marvel touted as one of the most stylish cricketers on and off the field has kept almost every style of hair do's and has been an inspiration to not one but to many. 

Dhoni had long hair which he has now shortened; he cut it because he wanted to look like his favourite film star John Abraham. The inspiration for the cut was not Deepika, but John Abraham, it seems, and was initiated by hair stylist Sapna Bhavnani. Johnny Boy himself was reported to be there when Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni got the cut.


Dhoni's long hairstyle was copied by many young men and the envy of people like Pakistani General Pervez Musharraf.


Sapna Bhavnani, Dhoni's hairstylist, "The main reason he wanted me to cut his hair short was because his long hair had been damaged and he wanted manageable, yet stylish hair."
